Meet The Feature Film School Management Team

The Feature Film School has a full-time staff of film production professionals, with experience across filmmaking, business management, and intellectual property law.

Students will also meet and learn from industry experts who give lectures, tutorials, and masterclasses throughout the year.

The entire team is here to ensure that students have a positive, productive, and successful experience at The Feature Film School.

Hester Middleton, Head of school
  • Hester comes from a formidable professional background in commercial and intellectual property law, international business, military service, and film production. As Head of School, Hester will ensure the successful operation and compliance of TFFS, and an auspicious experience for all students and staff.

    Hester is a graduate of Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and a subsequent serving British Army Officer. She is a former fellow of the City of London, and holds multiple legal degrees. Hester co-founded See It Off Productions Ltd in 2020, with a mission statement to provide more opportunities in film production for those who have not been able to find them. The films Hester has produced are widely-lauded, and proven crowd-pleasers.

Course leader and founder, Jessi
  • Jasmeet “Jessi” Singh is a director and writer who has earned international acclaim for his short films and screenplays. Jessi’s trademark stoic approach to film production is the nucleus of TFFS’s ethos and curriculum. His commitment to quality over gimmicks, and collaboration over exclusivity, will be central to the learning experience of all students.

    Jasmeet holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Film Production from the esteemed St.Xavier’s in Mumbai, India and a Masters’ in Film Production in from the erstwhile Screen & Film School, Brighton, UK. Jasmeet has over 9 years of experience in Screenwriting, Direction and Film production along with 4 years of theatre (folk and stage) experience in the Delhi Theatre Circuit. Jasmeet enjoys table tennis, and conspiracy theories.

Archie Middleton, Operations and logistics director
  • Archie is a producer, writer, and director who has dedicated his filmmaking career to championing and employing those whose talents are otherwise unrecognised and under-appreciated by the industry. An Edinburgh local, Archie will be a constant friendly face and reliable point of contact for all students, while managing the school’s logistics and production operations.

    Archie’s experience ranges from bar management to butchery to work as a qualified South African Safari Ranger. He holds a Masters’ degree in Screenwriting, and has a full understanding of how a film works from the first draft to the cinema till.

Sonny Singh, Course leader and post-production specialist
  • Sonny is an industrious filmmaker with particular specialism in post-production, focussing his career on the area of filmmaking which wrangles creative energy into marketable output. Sonny’s specialism renders TFFS a front-to-back studio, able to prioritise post-production in-house.

    An editor of 8 years, a director and a photographer, with a Masters’ degree in Filmmaking from the University for the Creative Arts. Sonny has worked on narrative, documentary films and music videos.

    Sonny is also a talented guitar player.
